2 Corinthians 4:16-18

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward
man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh
for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory:
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at
the things which are not seen: for the things which are
seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen
are eternal.

Where is your Focus?

Christmas, 1968 - two year old Charlotte King
was diagnosed with an incurable genetic disease called
cystic fibrosis. Her frail body produced a thick, sticky mucus
that clogged her lungs and impeded her digestion. Daily
medication, treatment, therapy, and frequent hospitalization
only slowed the progress of this cruel disease. Charlotte came
to know the love of Jesus as a child and committed her life to
Christ at age thirteen. She loved God's Word and promise. Her
faith was simple yet unshakable - if God said it she believed it
regardless of the circumstances. Her faith and joy inspired
everyone who knew her. Charlotte loved to study the Bible,
worship, fellowship with believers, and shard God's love. In her
journal she recorded her trust in the loving Father, her longing
for more of Him, and her anticipation of a glorified body like
her Savior's. Charlotte's health deteriorated but her spirit was
renewed daily. Three days before she died Charlotte prayed, " I
want to be healed Father, but I also want Your will, so I give You
my body, my soul, and my spirit. They're Yours now, Father,
to do with as You wish. I trust you to keep me until that day."
On June 9, 1985, Charlotte went home to be with the Lord whom
she had come to know so intimately. Where is your focus - on
the temporary or the eternal? Today thank the Lord that His
promises give you strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

"PRECIOUS IS HE"

Precious the One
in whom we believe . . .
All of our troubles & trials
to relieve

Precious that name
of Whom none is above . . .
Bathing us daily in His
Glorious LOVE ~

Touching our body
Our mind, heart & soul . . .
With His precious anointing
Making us whole

Rendering so helpless
Our enemy's plans .
To cause confusion & conflict
Chain with cruel bands ~

Precious Is He
Who ne'er turns away . . .
But intently listens to each
prayer we pray ~

On wings of Faith
Bathed in HIS glorious name . . .
Rewarding with answers
That always proclaim ~

Richness of Treasures
Ah ~ more than great wealth . . .
Peace like a river
Sweet fountains of health ~

PRECIOUS IS HE
blessed Saviour and King . . .
JESUS CHRIST ~ Mighty God
